The Sox have acquired right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman to a 3-year deal.
Graveman is a solid pitcher for any bullpen in the league. He can be a good middle-inning reliever or even come in to close a game out. You can use him in really any spot, and honestly, if you wanted to throw him at the back of your rotation, you could expect to get a few innings out of him. I’m sure the Sox won’t do that with what their rotation looks like, but you never know if they try it out for a game.
He is an awesome addition to the Southside bullpen, which is already filthy.
Graveman pitched 56 innings and had 61 strikeouts with a 1.77 ERA on the year.
You have to think now that they are tossing Kimbrel to the curb, but I imagine they go resign Tepera as well and bring him back to the bullpen this next year.
Either way, this is a good pick-up for the Sox.
