White Sox’ Carlos Rodón to Free Agency

The White Sox decided not to

extend a qualifying offer to starting pitcher Carlos Rodón, sending him to free agency.

The pitcher had an incredible season. He had 2.37 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and struck out 185 batters in the last season. He was probably the first half Cy Young for the AL this year. He was dominant.

This video shows how dominant of a start to the season he had.

I am really interested to see what the Sox do with the rotation this upcoming year. I gotta think that they try to get rid of Dallas Keuchel this offseason. Lance Lynn will return to the southside, and they will still have Giolito, Cease, and my guess is that Michael Kopech leaves the bullpen and joins the starting rotation.

It will be interesting to see where Rodón will end up and if the Sox will try to bring him back this offseason, but I doubt it.
