This day 5 years ago, the Chicago Cubs did what seemed impossible for them. They won the World Series.
For most Cubs fans, this was an unseen thing, and many fans around the country were thrilled to see the Cubbies win the championship.
The team is very different now. The only players from the 2016 championship run who still wear a Cub uniform are Kyle Hendricks, Jason Heyward, and Willson Contreras. Our beloved manager David Ross was a player for the championship team and had an incredible post-season in 2016.
