Penn State vs. Auburn Preview

The whiteout in happy valley is back in Happy Valley this weekend in an SEC vs. Big 10 matchup between Auburn and Penn State. Penn State fans are surely happy to have this game at home, as it is one of the loudest and hardest to play in stadiums in the country.

The Auburn Tigers are coming in with a 2-0 record so far this season, but this game is their first test. Bo Nix is notorious for struggling on the road so far in his career, and in this game, he is really going to be challenged. Nix and the Tigers are going to have to really start the game rolling offensively if they want to compete in this game. Auburn has one of the most explosive running backs in the country in Tank Bigsby. He is a physical back who can really create damage running upfield. This Auburn offense is going to have to have the ball rolling, and really limit mistakes on the offensive side of the ball.

Jaquan Brisker - Football - Penn State University Athletics

Penn State has a tough defense who can really give offenses a hard time. Jaquan Brisker is one of the top defensive backs in the country, and he and the Nittany Lions defense are going to have to really limit Auburn’s run game in tonight’s game. The Nittany Lions are of course faced with a thought of Head Coach James Franklin potentially considering the USC job, so they are just gonna have to focus on this game. If Sean Clifford and the offense can make some big plays, I expect them to take care of this game.

final thoughts

This is going to be a good matchup between two good teams. Both are coming in with a 2-0 record, but that is gonna change today. It’s going to be a dogfight, and whoever wants it more is going to prevail. If Penn State holds Auburn’s offense, and makes Bo Nix make mistakes, Penn State will finish this game in the 4th quarter in a close game.
