Jed Hoyer’s change to the president of baseball operations of the Cubs left a hole in the GM spot in Chicago, and the Cubs are looking at bringing in Cleveland’s Carter Hawkins as the new General Manager.
Hawkins spent 14 years with the Indians/Guardians in Cleveland. In 2016 after the World Series loss to the Cubs, he took on the Assistant GM role in Cleveland.
After the season that Cubs fans endured, I think it’s safe to say that fans want to watch some superstars play at Wrigley Field night in and night out.
The Cubs front office has made some hints at spending some cash this offseason, and hopefully, Carter Hawkins will bring some big-time names to Wrigleyville this year.
