This is the first time the Hawks have won back-to-back games this season, and they are 2-0 without Jeremy Colliton. They defeated Nashville 2-1 in OT and then last night took down the Penguins in a shootout winning 3-2 thanks to the shootout goal by Alex DeBrincat.
Derek King is undefeated so far in his two-game stand as interim head coach of the team.
Jujhar Kharia and Seth Jones both collected their first goal as a Blackhawk in last night’s game against Pittsburgh. Seth Jones had a good game. He brings a really aggressive offensive approach to the defense position which I love.

Fleury showed last night that he is still capable of being the best goalie in the world, having 42 saves against the Pens. “It was definitely a frustrating start to the season and I’m glad the last two games feel better,” Fleury said.
The Hawks let the Penguins score more goals in the third period, and they just need to make sure they can play all three periods and be more comfortable keeping a lead.
There is still a lot of improvement this team needs, but winning two consecutive games is a great start to get things rolling in the right direction going forward.
